He was born June 15, 1924, in the town of Fleith, son of the late Harry and Ethel (Hickman) Knapp. He married Joan Hassenfuss on July 22, 1952, in Waukegan, Ill. She preceded him in death Oct. 29, 1992. He had a contract mail route for the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed making wreaths at Christmas, his Canadian fishing trips, flower gardening and the cottage up north. Survivors include two sons, Gerald (Kristal) Knapp Jr. and Charles (Patty) Knapp, all of Wausau; a daughter, Mary Knapp, Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Annie, Christopher, and Jan Van Wie, Jacob and Caleb Knapp; one brother, Delos (Elaine) Knapp, Wausau; and one sister, Elaine(David) Roloff, Wausau. He was preceded in death by one brother, Leland, and one sister, Sharon Walsczak. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 1996, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, and from 1:30 p.m. Monday until the time of services, all at the funeral home.

Wedding photo shows that her one eye was not right some how - but the large photo has this touched up. Alexander: Alexander Weyneth (Weyeneth) - Is buried in Cemetery off Grand Ave. by his wife Philipina and my Grandma Lydia Weyneth (Kozlowski). He came to the US at the age of 2 from Switzerland with his Father Sam Weyneth and his Mother Margaret Kocher. Sam had at least 1 Brother Ernest. Margaret had at least 2 Bothers, Fritz and Niklaus. They came from Worben Switzerland. Alexander was a cook in a lumber camp up north someplace and while walking home was shot and killed while out in the woods. They never found out who shot him. Margaret’s brother Niklaus left Grandma (Lydia) an inheritance.

Transcription of the Obituary for Mrs. Norma Young - Wausau Record-Herald 3/12/1958: Mrs. Norma Young, 49, Kaukauna, former Wausau resident,died Monday afternoon about 2 o'clock in a Kaukauna hospital after a lingering illness. She had suffered a paralytic stroke in 1953. She visited here with her sister, Mrs. Anton Kozlowski, 1320 S. 11th Ave., from last Wednesday to Sunday, during which time she suffered several minor strokes. She was taken to Kaukauna Sunday. Funeral services will be tomorrow at 2 o'clock at the Greenwood Funeral Home in Kaukauna. The Rev. Paul Stevens, pastor of the Kaukauna Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Union Cemetery at Kaukauna. The body is at the funeral home. Norma Weyneth was born in Marathon Sept 14, 1909, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Weyneth. Her husband, who was a foreman for the Thilmany Pulp & Paper Co. at its papermill in the Kaukauna area, died Sept 3, 1953. She lived 27 years in Kaukauna, prior to which she lived on Wausau. Surviving are a son, Joseph Young Jr., Kaukauna; the sister; a brother, Alex C. Wyenth, 704 W. Crocker St., and four grandchildren.
