This is a great source of information which, at least to me, seems to be not well known.

They have a wonderful list of available information including a lot of genealogical information. Their Archives Division has the Naturalization papers for the Central Wisconsin Area and for Wausau residents they have the 1939 Wausau Centennial Association Records.

For the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of Wausau (which was in 1939) interviews where made of all the residents of Wausau asking those residents for a list of their children and ancestors. The interviews seemed to have been conducted from 1936 to 1939. Somehow these records (interviews) found their way to the Stevens Point archives. There is an all name index from which you can then look and copy the actual interviews.
