Genealogy Information -

Following is a summary of surnames/ancestral information on my most direct lineage. Obviously this is not everything I have.

I have contact with three Huehnerfuss families in Germany. Links to them follows. I personally believe, that all Huehnerfuss's are related. All the Huehnerfuss's in the US are known to be related and are from the same geographical area in Germany as the Huehnerfuss's in Germany are from.

1) Heinrich Huehnerfuss - He and his wife Erika live in the Hamburg area. Heinrich is a Professor of chemistry at the University of Hamburg. His web site may be seen by clicking here.

2) Kurt Huehnerfuss and his dad Eberhard - Kurt lives in the Hamburg area with his wonderful family. Eberhard lives in central Germany. Kurt's web site may be seen by clicking here. An English version is available.

3) Norbert Gschweng who's mother is a Huehnerfuss - His web site may be seen by clicking here. This is only in German.

In Norbert Gschweng's site he has some good information on the origin of the name Huehnerfuss. Being that it is in German, I have taken the liberty to translate this the best I could. I have also added some information of my own.

A brief lineage summary -

My father is Merlin James Huehnerfuss. His father is William (Wilhelm) Frederic Huehnerfuss.
His mother is Vinne Emma Alma Fellbaum.

William (Wilhelm) Frederic Huehnerfuss's father is Carl (Karl) Frederic Huehnerfuss. His wife is Wilhelmine Klatt.

Carl (Karl) Frederic Huehnerfuss's father is Wilhelm Huehnerfuss. His wife is Ernestine Ikert.
Wilhelmine Klatt's father is Johann David Klatt. Her mother is Sophia Maass.

Vinne Emma Alma Fellbaum's father is Franz (Frank) Fellbaum. His wife is Clara Paul.

Franz (Frank) Fellbaum's father is Carl (Karl) Fellbaum. His wife is Wilhelmine (Minni) Koehler.
Clara Paul's father is Adolph Paul. His wife is Mathilda Schramm.

My mother is Nancy Lou Kozlowski. Her father is Anton (Antoni) Kozlowski. Her mother is Lydia Weyneth.

Anton (Antoni) Kozlowski's father is Andrew Kozlowski. His wife is Tillie Wenslowick

Lydia Weyneth's father is Alexander Weyneth. His wife is Philipina Knapp.

Alexander Weyneth's father is Samuel Weyneth. His wife is Margart Kocker.
Philipina Knapp's father is Ludwig (Louis) Knapp. His wife's name is Katherine.

Carl (Karl) Frederic Huehnerfuss came to the US in approximately 1876 with his wife. They where from the Prussian area of Liebenow, Altnwedel, Arnswalde. Today this area is in present day Poland.

The Fellbaum's and Paul's where from Germany as well, but I don't where and have little supporting information on them. The name Paul is said to be shortened from something else.

Anton Kozlowski immigrated to the US in 1913. There are lots of Kozlowski's but I am sure they are not related. Anton is from the Skierbieszow area of Poland. I have some direct communication with Anton's brothers descendants today.

The Weyneth's are from Switzerland. I know where I can obtain more information on them but just have not got around to it. Margart Kocker had a brother which left a small inheritance to Lydia Weyneth. He died in Worben Switzerland.

There are many Knapp's. The Knapp's of my ancestry are from Germany, but I don't know from where and have little information on them. Philipina Knapp was 3 years old when her family came to the US.
