This site is dedicated to the Kingdom of Leon, a position in Campaign 28, Lords Deus Vult.

At the start of the campaign the Ruler of Leon has managed to gather the cities of Cuidad Leon in Leon, Valladolid in Old Castille, and Lisbon in Portugal.  Neighbors press in from every corner on land and sea.  Initially you could say this spot is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Historically this is an image of Alfonso VI. Its from a manuscript, 12th century; in Santiago cathedral, Spain.  His oppression of his Muslim vassals led to the invasion of Spain by an Almoravid army from North Africa. In the Deus Vult Campaign I hope to avoid this same event.

Let the truth be like a belt around your waist, and let God's justice protect you like armor. 15Your desire to tell the good news about peace should be like shoes on your feet. 16Let your faith be like a shield, and you will be able to stop all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Let God's saving power be like a helmet, and for a sword use God's message that comes from the Spirit.

Set in the time of the Crusades this specific campaign has a few new rules modifications. Secret Orders representing the a combination of two LOTE position types.  Secret Empire and Religious Fighting Order.  Royal Marriages and Family allowing a great many interactions between nations. A Vatican non player controlled but having many powers which players can accumulate and spend Influence upon.  These are just some of the exciting complexities that await you.
