top of the page /\ While in the Army, she met Chris Davies, who also was a soldier, and they got
married on May 18, 1986. On September 15, 1988 Chris died, leaving Lisa four
months pregnant. Kevin Christopher Davies was born on February 10, 1989. I
stayed with Lisa for three weeks and during that time, we both decided it was
better for all of us if I took Kevin home with me until she finished up her four
year tour of duty. She came home four months later,, enrolled in college, met
Dennis Fenner and later married him October 19, 1991, then graduated from
college with honors the following December.. Since then she's found a job she likes as a medical assistant and secretary,
and had two more sons, Derek Dennis, born June 10, 1994, and Tyler Michael, born
March 13, 1996 and two daughters, Kayla Marie, born March 15, 2000 and Jenna
Abigail, born March 29, 2002. Lisa and Dennis also own a large dairy farm, milking around ninety cows.
Dennis finds time in his busy schedule to be in a weekly bowling league. Lisa
makes time to attend most school functions for the kids, and chaperones for
field trips as often as possible. She also helps her kids day care center as
much as possible when they need volunteers. Dennis is their town chairman and
has been on committees for a variety of organizations. In June of ‘96, they
also hosted a dairy breakfast on their farm, which was a LOT of work for them,
but in their words, "well worth it" just to promote the dairy
industry. Kevin recently acquired his drivers license so that takes the load off Lisa a
bit with all the “ dropping off and picking up” for sports games and
practices. Of course, she still has the other four kids to do that for. I keep
reminding her they will grow up and be gone before she realizes it. Derek and Tyler showed their interest in sports this past year. Both were in
football and then basketball, and found they loved it and even won some games!!!
Then Tyler decided to try wrestling and did good in that too. Kayla is in a head start program and really is thriving and loves to write.
Only a year ago, she didn’t even want to pick up a pencil. Jenna is in day care and is mama’s little girl yet and growing up way too
fast.
Lisa graduated with honors from Athens High School May 1985, being in the top
10% of her class. After high school, she planned on attending a nearby technical
college but, all of a sudden, decided she needed to see some of the world, so
she joined the U.S. Army.

Scott
was an easy going guy from little on. Being our only son, he always
said his mission in life was to harass his three sisters. He did a good job of
it and I think the girls will never forget all the stunts he pulled on them. He
loves to joke around all the time and at times his joking turns to being a pest.
You can't help but laugh with him though. Scott loved football, baseball, and
motorcycles. When he was about eleven, he bought a small motorcycle from our
neighbor and used it a lot. Before he was sixteen he bought a bigger one to
"tool" around with when he got his license. As soon as he got his
drivers license, he went back to get his cycle license. Since then he's had
bigger cycles and still loves to drive them when the weather permits. He also
loves to drive snowmobiles and goes on long distant rides whenever the
opportunity arises. While in high school, Scott joined the football team and was
a pitcher for the baseball league and did very well in both . He won various
awards and medals for both sports.
He graduated from Athens High School in May 1987 and decided he needed to see the world so he joined the Army. He didn't get to see as much as he would have liked, but he enjoyed the experience it gave him. After a three year stint, he decided to come back home and "settle down". He got a job in a concrete factory in a nearby town, and worked there for ten years. He married Brenda Bauer on October 8, 1993 and after renting a while, decided to build a house in a small town not far from us. He got sick of the long hours so he finally found another job at Marathon Cheese. Brenda drives school bus for the Marshfield School District and also works part time at Marathon Cheese.
Both like to bowl and have good averages but don’t belong to any leagues anymore because of work and family commitments. They do get in tournaments whenever they can. Their daughter Kiana Lee, was born April 5, 2000 and their son Keegan Thomas was born July 14, 2003. Both kids have the reddish hair like their mother but as they grow, she says they take after their father in their actions. Is that good or bad???? They are little sweethearts with their own personalities and it’s nice to watch them grow.

top of the page /\ Vicki married John Briese on August 12, 1993. Their son Austin Daniel was
born on August 1, 1995 and their daughter Morgan Michelle was born on March 31,
1997. Vicki has a passion for playing volleyball and plays in various leagues year
round. She even goes to a volleyball camp each year in Colorado just to keep up
her skills. She goes with their kids on class trips and takes them shopping ,
another thing she loves to do. John works at Meyer Manufacturing and also has a hobby farm, where he raises
our calves for us and some of his own. He also makes quilts, processes
vegetables they grow, cooks, cleans, and still has time for the kids too. Austin is big into farm life, and loves John Deere anything!!!! With
supervision, he helps his dad with the farm work, including moving tractors
around. He really loves his lawn tractors, and he has a miniature hay wagon with
a rack, and a one section drag he can use behind the tractor to help in the
fields. He also loves to build things and has a great mind for new inventions.
Some don’t always turn out like he’d want them to, but then he changes
things and tries again. Give him a big pile of scrap wood and he’s in his
glory!! Morgan is more of a couch potato. She loves watching cartoons. She is also
big into anything with horses, dolphins, and leopards. She would like to own a
horse someday!!! She helps with dishes but isn’t fond of that chore and
decided the first thing her future husband will have to buy her is a automatic
dishwasher.
Vicki
graduated with honors from Athens High School May 1990 ,in the top 10 % of
her class as class president. She attended a business college in Milwaukee and
graduated in 1991 as a legal secretary . She worked for lawyers but decided it
wasn’t what she wanted to do all her life so she went back to school, this
time at North Central Technical College in Wausau. Vicki graduated with high
honors from NTC on May 24, 2000. She received an Associate of Applied Science
Degree-Computer Information Systems and Microcomputer Certificate and the next
day she started working for East Bay at a job she still likes.

Cara Cara
was always an easy going girl
as she grew up,
Cara graduated with honors from Athens High School May 1993 in the top 10% of her class. She attended North Central Technical College in August 1993 for an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science - Administrative Assistant. She graduated in May 1995. She started attending Upper Iowa University in January 1996, taking night classes, and graduated in May 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Cara married Keith Zinkowich on September 23, 1995. They have one son, Jordan Edward, who was born on September 15, 1998, and a daughter, Mariah Elizabeth, who was born on August 21, 2001.
Cara works at Wausau Insurance, and when she isn’t working, she’s taking care of the kids. Her other interests are playing volleyball in a league, scrap booking, and fixing up their house. Keith was a self-employed long-haul truck driver but decided to start dispatching for his own company ( newly named FBN Transport) so he could spend more time at home. He and his partner have been in business for 13 years and have some owner/operators driving right now and plan to hire more to add onto their business. Keith is an avid hunter and fisherman and never misses an opportunity to go when he can.
Jordan and Mariah spend time with both sets of grandparents and love it. Both have bubbly personalities like their mother, and a gift of gab like their dad. Nothing wrong with either trait. Jordan jumps at the chance of spending time at Grampa Tom’s farm every chance he gets. He loves following Grampa Tom around like a little puppy and he is interested in everything about country life. His latest interest is a BB gun and you can see Grampa and him walking side by side just like , as someone said, Andy and Opie Taylor from the show Mayberry from years ago. Mariah is the headstrong one of the two. If she wants something, she has a way about getting it. She has the cutest eyes and smile and charm to go with both so it’s hard to refuse her. But we do what we must!!!!
Jordan will be in first grade starting in September 2005 and loves learning new things and making all kinds of friends. Mariah will start pre kindergarten at the same time.
