About Wykoff Located in southeaster Minnesota--about 35 miles southeast of Rochester between Spring Valley and Preston--Wykoff lies in the heart of Fillmore County. Wykoff was established in 1871 as a result of railroad development and is named after Cyrus Gates Wykoff. With a rich history, Wykoff has numerous buildings on its main street (called Gold Street) that are on the National Historical Registry. While most of Fillmore County has Scandinavian heritage, most of Wykoff's early settlers were of German descent. Currently a town of 500 people, Wykoff offers a slice of small town America at its best. Come visit us soon!

The store also contains Ed's living quarters which has been restored with amazing accuracy to its original appearance. Admission is free. Donations are accepted.
