Warranties

Unitel, Inc. offers factory warranties on all Panasonic and Toshiba products in addition to the Unitel Customer Care Plan, our Five Star Warranty and our Gold Star Maintenance Agreement.

 
Panasonic Factory Warranty
  The Panasonic Factory Warranty offers a three-year warranty on parts and a one-year warranty on labor.
 
 
Toshiba Factory Warranty
  The Toshiba Factory Warranty offers a two-year warranty on parts and a one-year warranty on labor.
 
 
Unitel Customer Care Plan
  The Unitel Customer Care Plan is a maintenance agreement for existing customers. Contract costs are based on system size and configuration and do not include alterations to the original installation. This maintenance agreement includes the following:
 
     Unitel will provide all necessary service, including parts and materials, to maintain the system in good working condition and repair.
     Maintenance services will be provided within 24 hours, on average, from the time of request from the customer.
     Unitel will make every effort to respond to a customer request for emergency service within four hours, on average.
 
 
Five Star Warranty
  The Five Star Warranty is an extended warranty contract offered on all Panasonic and Toshiba systems. Unitel, Inc. has partnered with Technology Assurance Group (TAG), a nationwide network of telecommunications dealers, in order to offer this extended warranty. Contract costs are based on system size and configuration. The Five Star Warranty includes the following:
 
     All major voice-related components including cabinets, power supplies, circuit cards, telephones and voice mail systems carry a full FIVE-YEAR PARTS AND HARDWARE LABOR WARRANTY from the date of installation. If a part is replaced, there is no service charge, labor charge or part charge.
     Customers are billed only a nominal $50 deductible charge per service occurrence.
     For the first 30 days, all programming charges are non-conditional and are made at no cost.
 
 
Gold Seal Maintenance Program
  The Gold Seal Maintenance Program offers a maintenance contract to new customers to provide them with cost control over system functionality and upgrades. This maintenance program can only be used in conjunction with the Five Star Warranty. Contract costs are based on system size and configuration. The Gold Seal Maintenance Program includes:
 
     Waiver of the Five Star Warranty $50 deductible.
     Additional customer training programs and User Guides.
     Replacement of defective base cords and handset cords.
     Wiring and cabling diagnosis and correction.
     Telephone company coordination and diagnosis and interface with long distance carriers. (Unitel is not responsible for the actions of telephone companies or long distance carriers).
     Annual inspection of telephone and voice mail systems.
     Annual backup of telephone and voice mail systems if applicable.
     Auditing of local and long distance expenses: cost-saving recommendations per customer request.
     Free consultation.
     10% equipment discount on any additional equipment.
     No charge for "No Trouble Found."
